Since the first 90’s, Gianni Coletti establishes himself as one of the dj’s more appreciated in the panorama house and not only of the Italy. He immediately establishes himself in clubs of references what Area City (Mestre), Matilda (Jesolo), Kursaal (Lignano Sabbiadoro), up to cross over into Slovenia and Croazia (Ambasad Gavioli), and to come to the Pacha of Sharm el Sheikh, in Egypt, the Xueno of Formentera, the Liquid Club of Bern and to Kaufleuten of Zurig, in Swiss.
Gianni Coletti, a double soul: dj of disco and producer/remixer. An authentic study animal. The roster of his productions and remix is excellent: remix for Jasper Street Co (He’s Allright), Sueno Latino (Sueno Latino), Stonebridge feat, Ultranatè (Freak on). The real shift arrives in 1995 when, with the pseudonym of “Express Of Sound”, he is first in the english Club Charts and he is placed in other 24 countries of the world with the dance piece “RealVibration”(Mantra/Ita. – Positiva/Uk). In the year 2002 he signs with his own name “Gimme Fantasy”(Warner/Ita – M.O.D.A./ita), a perfect marriage between Latin house and choirs gospel. “Gimme Fantasy” catches on as hit of the winter, to the point to become signature tune of programs tv top what “Le Iene” and “Striscia al notizia” and to appear in “Top of the Pops” and “Tv Moda”. To these success follows the pieces “Love To be free” with the voice of the guru soul Al Castellana, and “Think (about it) versus Lyn Collins. This last is the modern version of the world hit of 1974, a piece written and produced by her husband at the time James Brown.
In 2005 Gianni releases “Fire” with Airplane Records; in 2006 with the pseudonym of “GC Meets Dariush” releases “Good Love” born from the collaboration between the english label “Big Love” and the italian “Ocean Trax”; in 2008 follows up the single “Be Free With Your Love” featuring Scott Foster on dj/producer Joe T. Vannelli’s Label “Clubbing Records”.
After a little period during which he dedicated more of his time playing music in clubs than recording in studio, in 2011 he cames back by public demand with a completely new remix package of the historical “Gimme Fantasy”: a new remix by Gianni himself, along with top italian remixers’ versions, achieving great results on I-Tunes’s Charts, Nokia OVI store, Beatport and with the Cd Single’s sales.
At the same time he looks after his collaboration with the band “Music Boutique” (they also create an astonishing “Gimme Fantasy” remix), and produces three covers for “M.O.D.A – Music Fashion”: Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”, “Smoke On the Water” by Deep Purple, and Sergio Mendes’s“Mas Que Nada”: classics that Gianni transforms into “house” versions.
2012 is for Gianni a very intense year in terms of productions. Many new releases see the light of the day including “Gianni Coletti vs KeeJay Freak – Dare Me” on “M.O.D.A – Music Fashion” (Top 10 on Beatport House) and “Gianni Coletti vs KeeJay Freak – Another Star” (Yves Murasca Tribal Remix) “M.O.D.A – Music Fashion” (N.1 Beatport House).
But the remixes of international names are taking over the spotlight on Gianni as one of the finest producers of the summer 2012. He remixes “Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Starlight” (Ego), “Crystal Waters with Musique Boutique – Gypsy Woman “ “M.O.D.A – Music Fashion” (N.1 Beatport House, N.3 Beatport Top 100 and N.9 iTunes Dance Singles in Italy).
